RMIAN recruits, trains and mentors the volunteer attorneys who accept referred cases. RMIAN's training programs are meant to provide volunteer lawyers with the basic knowledge that they will need to handle a case through out intake and referral process. We understand and expect, of course, that situations will arise in which you will want further information, guidance, and advice.
RMIAN regularly has training programs on immigration law for volunteer lawyers. The focus is on defending non-citizens in removal proceedings in immigration court, but the material on the agenda would be of interest to anyone wanting to learn about immigration law in general.
RMIAN's Pro Bono Mentoring Panel is comprised of experienced immigration attorneys who serve as mentors throughout a volunteer attorney's case.
If you are interested in accepting a case, please contact us.
