This section should give those involved in immigration proceedings and their family and friends some help with their cases.  However, this site provides only general information about immigration law and procedures and does not cover individual cases.  You can represent yourself in immigration proceedings, but it is much better to consult--or if possible retain--a lawyer.  You can consult a RMIAN attorney about your individual case by attending one of our legal orientation presentations at the GEO facility.  All detainees at the GEO facility who are scheduled for a master calendar hearing should automatically be scheduled to attend a legal orientation presentation a few days before their scheduled hearing.  Detainees can also request to attend a presentation by leaving a message with their name, A number, and GEO number at (303) 866-9308.
